Turning in 3 caps will give you ~90k experience. Let's say they both award a base of 30k experience. Say that they use the same materials to craft, for a total of 6000g per synth (they don't, but for argument's sake let's say they do). ESPECIALLY for something expensive like Weaver.Įxample: Levequest asks you to make 1x linen chausses vs asking you to make 3 linen caps of gathering (just an example). These 3x turn ins can often cost 3x to make compared to a 1x turn in since you actually have to make and HQ three vs 1. IMO the 3x turn in leves are only useful if you're hurting for leve allotments. Thank you so much and so I'm happy to have helped you out! c: I know a great deal of the English-speaking FFXIV crafting community has used these to some extent, and getting comments like these just steel me to keep pushing forward. Leves aren't necessarily easy, but they are definitely the least time-consuming option and having little goals along the way helps break up the tedium.īut yeah, thanks a ton for letting me know these helped you so much. Putting the basic repeatables lists up (the ones linked at the bottom of this one) and all of the subsequent stuff I've made on the subject has taken a lot of time, but I just love helping the community and don't want people who want to craft (but are discouraged by the leveling curve) to give up because of the time and money investment. Thanks so much for letting me know! c: Everyone has their own strategy for leveling their traderafts, but I stand by the leves method and just love the fact that the guides and stuff I've put out have been so helpful for so many (way more than 68k, truth be told!). (Check out all of FFXIV guides in Ashley's Guide List for more guide things that may or may not be great. The card shown on a leve indicates the type of task it will have you do. Those fancy cards shown at the top right of a levequest are just fluff, right? Nope! The more shards, the merrier! So how can you tell a leve is repeatable? Be sure to pay attention to shard rewards before taking a leve and don't be afraid to take them just because you could get 30 to 171 shards.
While this is not entirely common on repeatables, it does happen frequently on regular crafting leves. This also happens on some repeatable levequests! That's okay, because there is a random chance that at least one tradecraft leve at the levemete will give 40 or so shards per turn in. Oh, and about shard usage.Ĭrafting uses shards, and no one wants to go gather or spend the gil on them. The downside to that is triple turn-in leves did not have their reward increased along with their Constancy and Ingenuity (courier) counterparts. Level 35 triple turn-in Armorer leve: Flintstone FlightĮssentially what this means is the total XP from HQ turn-ins is 6 times the standard amount. Level 35 Armorer leve: A Tree Grew in Gridania Let's do a quick comparison between a standard tradecraft leve and a repeatable, and whether the extra effort is worth it XP-wise: A repeatable leve allows you to turn in the quest three times, with no diminishing gil or experience returns. What this means, is that ideally you want to pick up repeatables instead of standard leves, and you want to produce and turn in high quality items every time. Repeatable leves are available at level 20.You must make three times the amount requested.Turning in high quality items gives 100% XP and gil rewards.Only a select few levequests are repeatable. There are four things you need to keep in mind before running to your nearest levemete: This has been reduced to double rewards wth 2.1. Part of the reason triple turn-in leves were so powerful in 2.0 was because of the triple XP rewards on high quality turn-ins. With the above said, they are still a very viable option for players who are low on allowances and are willing to put forth the extra effort to complete these types of leves.
The 2.1 patch brought higher rewards to all tradecraft leves but repeatables. Repeatable/triple turn-in leves are not the biggest fish in the sea when it comes to tradecraft leves anymore.

Hold onto those leve allowances because you're going to need them! (There is a new 2.1 tradecraft leves guide explaining the changes to DoH leves and why they are better than ever, and why triple turn-ins are no longer the best.
